Rise & Grind Fitness App — Effective March 5, 2026
Passive Labs, LLC ("we", "our", "us") operates the Rise & Grind mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the app.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address — used to create and authenticate your account
- Display name — optional, shown within the app
- Authentication tokens — managed securely by Supabase Auth
Fitness & Nutrition Data
- Workout programs — exercises, sets, reps, and weight data you create or generate
- Workout sessions — completed workout history including dates, exercises performed, and weights lifted
- Nutrition logs — food entries, calorie counts, and macronutrient data you log
- Macro targets — daily calorie and macronutrient goals you set
AI Interaction Data
- Chat messages — conversations with the AI coaching feature
- Food photos — images you take for AI-powered food scanning (processed in real time; not stored on our servers)
Device & Usage Data
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services.
- We do not collect device identifiers, location data, or browsing activity.

AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) process your data according to their respective API data usage policies. Data sent via their APIs is not used to train their models under their current API terms.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Local storage: Your data is stored locally on your device using SQLite for offline access.
- Cloud storage: When signed in, data syncs to Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security ensuring only you can access your data.
- Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
- API keys: AI service API keys are stored securely on our Cloudflare Worker and are never exposed to the app or your device.
5. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
- AI chat conversations are stored to provide conversation history. You can delete individual conversations within the app.
- Food photos are sent to the AI provider for real-time analysis and are not stored on our servers after processing.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Access your data: All your data is visible within the app (workout history, nutrition logs, programs, chat history).
- Delete your account: Use the "Delete Account" button in Settings. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
- Export your data: Contact us at the email below to request a full export of your data.
- Offline use: The app functions offline using local storage. Cloud sync is tied to your authenticated session.
7. Children's Privacy
Rise & Grind is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Camera Permission
The app requests camera access solely for the food scanning feature, which allows you to photograph meals for AI-powered nutritional analysis. Camera access is optional and the app will function without it. Photos taken for food scanning are sent directly to the AI provider for analysis and are not stored on our servers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
